General Questions

Can I change my order once placed?+

Yes, you can change your selection before the order is picked up for dispatch, if a customer wants any amendments then it needs to be notified within 24 hours of ordering otherwise it will be shipped as per the initial order info.

Do you have all phones in stock, and can I buy them in your physical store?+

You can make a purchase at our physical store. However, ordering online and then picking it up from the store would be wise. We recommend ordering online first because we do not always keep all the handsets in the store.
There is still a chance that the device will be available, but you have to confirm availability through our Customer Service team who will check the inventory and confirm if the device is available at the store.

Are Phonebot Phones unlocked?+

Our refurbished devices' network is always unlocked, and you can easily use them anywhere in Australia. In addition, we source most of our products from the local Australia market and the international one.

Can I change my delivery address?+

We allow you to change the address within 24 hours of ordering. Otherwise, the product will be sent to another place. Phonebot will not cater to the losses. Therefore, any address amendments should be done early to avoid device losses.

Can I send someone to pick a device for me?+

Our company policy demands that a person picking up the order should have an ID that matches the order name and if someone else has to pick up the order then this should be advised by the customer in form of an email or call from the same number which is on file. However, we give you 5-6 days to pick up your order.

Do you send photos of every device?+

It is challenging to send photographs of every device to all our customers. However, we advise all our customers to take advantage of the 30-days return policy if they are unsatisfied with the product.

Do we have brand-new devices?+

Yes. Phonebot stocks new devices with a 24-month warranty and a sealed box.

Do the refurbished products offer good services?+

Of course. Our refurbished products are originally pre-owned, and they are fully functional. In addition, our company uses manual checkpoints and third-party testing software for OEM compliance. These checkpoints mean that the device is as good as new. Our aim is to ensure that you get excellent service.

Which products do you offer?+

At Phonebot Australia, we have new phones, personal computers, smartwatches, tablets & accessories. In addition, we have preloved phones, computers, and tablets that have been refurbished. They are as good as new ones and offer you the best services.

Are the phones affordable?+

Our company offers the best price for your gadgets. In the same spirit, we offer brand-new phones and refurbished ones. We acquire the devices from professional and legitimate vendors. In addition, we deal with devices acquired from their original owners through consensus.

Can I purchase a device at Phonebot’s physical store?+

Yes, you can make a purchase at our Broadway Reservoir shop in Victoria. The store is open from Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. On weekends, we are open from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. We recommend ordering online and then picking up your purchase in-store as we may not always have all handsets available on-site

What is your client service hour?+

Our customer service team is available and takes calls between 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. AEST. They are also available on the website chat feature. Alternatively, if you send an email, we will reply within the shortest time possible.

Is Phonebot an Australia Company?+

Yes, Phonebot is an Australia company that was founded in 2012 and offers products that are sustainable. We desire to reduce our carbon footprint by recycling or reusing technology products. When we acquire a gently used product, we grade and refurbish each device.

What do I do if the device I bought isn’t compatible with Aussie carriers?+

If you experience any compatibility issues you can reach out to us via email or phone. We will provide you with basic information on how you’ll troubleshoot your device. If the problem persists and it’s impossible to fix the issue remotely, we will offer you a replacement immediately.

What Do I Do if My Address Changes?+

If your address changes, please get in touch with us as soon as possible to update your contact details. You can reach us by calling +61 39 462 6936 during business hours, and one of our friendly team members will be happy to assist you. Alternatively, you can reply to the order confirmation email with the changes that you want to be implemented on your order.

What Types of Phones Do You Stock?+

We stock US-spec, Aussie-spec, and UK-spec phones.

Do you offer trade-ins?+

If you want to trade in your phone, we will check it and see if it is needed in stock. We will then inspect it and make an offer. If you accept the offer, we will do the paperwork and collect your ID details and seal the deal.

Warranty

How Does Your Warranty Work?+

Our warranty will cover you for basic, electrical, and mechanical failures unless the phone is damaged. If the device fails, you can email us at [email protected]. or open a Return Request from our website. We will ask you some basic questions to help you troubleshoot the product and approve your claim. If a returned item arrives physically damaged or is found to have contact with a liquid, then it's returned to the customer as it is.

Do you offer a warranty on all products?+

How do I make a warranty claim?+

If a device develops a fault within the warranty period the customer is required to inform us and book a return via our website www.phonebot.com.au or by calling us at +61 39 462 6936. You may also contact us through Facebook or WhatsApp

How long does it take to process a refund?+

Orders are refunded back within three business days after completing a physical assessment and verifying that the device is cleaned from any sort of association with the last owner's info.

How long does it take to process a replacement?+

All replacements are processed within 1-3 working days after receiving and verifying the product subject to product availability. In case a suitable replacement isn’t available we will contact you with the best options

What is Phonebot’s '30 Days Change of Mind' policy for in-store and online purchases?+

At Phonebot, we want our customers to shop with confidence. That's why we offer a 30 Days Change of Mind policy.

In-Store Purchases: If you have purchased a product from our store and have changed your mind within 30 days, you can return the product to the same store. Please note that a restocking fee of $49 applies to all in-store change of mind returns. This fee helps us cover the cost of processing the return and ensuring that the product can be restocked and sold again.
Online Purchases: For online purchases, if you change your mind within 30 days of delivery, you can return the product with no additional restocking fee. Please ensure that the product is in its original condition, with all packaging and accessories included. To initiate a return, simply contact our customer service team, and we will guide you through the process.

For both in-store and online returns, the product must be in its original condition, and all the original packaging, accessories, and free gifts must be included.

How secure is your payment?+

Every type of transaction is secured with such renowned payment partners who are accepted worldwide. We also use 3D Secure and have an SSL security certificate.

What payment methods do you accept?+

We accept e-wallets such as AfterPay, PayPal, and Zip Money. Other methods of payment include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Diner’s Club International.

 

Shipment

How long does shipping take, and is it free?+

Our company offers free shipping within Australia. Dispatch time is 1-2 days. You should pick up your order from our store within 5 to 6 days after you get a notification or call for picking up your order. All products are shipped through Auspot or MyToll. You will get an automated notification of the tracking details, such as your tracking number and tracking link.

What if my parcel is lost in transit?+

Phonebot always chooses the shipping carrier for every order very wisely. All the parcels are shipped with good faith to serve the community in the best possible way. However, just in case any parcel shipped out from our side gets lost or damaged in transit then the customer has to bear the charges for that or the customer can also buy a A$7 transit cover from us that will ensure the compensation for any sort of damages or lost scenario of the parcels

Can Phonebot ship overseas?+

We currently ship to New Zealand and to customers within Australia only.

How long can I check my shipping status?+

We will send you a tracking ID via email when we receive it from our delivery service providers.

Repairs and Returns

Do you offer walk-in repairs?+

Yes. Once you walk into our shop, we inspect your device and give you a quotation and an ETC (ESTIMATE TIME OF COMPLETION) of repairs. We offer a repair warranty of 1 month. We will take your contact details and notify you once the repairs are done.

How Do You Handle Repair and Warranty Claim Follow-Ups?+

We have a comprehensive warranty that covers our customers in the event of a faulty device. If the customer finds a device to be faulty within the change-of-mind window, i.e., the first 30 days from delivery, we can refund or replace the device without asking any questions.
If more than 30 days have passed and the device turns out to be faulty or starts acting up, it will be recalled for repairs under warranty. When you send the parcel back to us, the phone will undergo an audit to check for any physical damages. Once the audit is complete and the device is confirmed to be faulty, our team will start the repair process, ship it back to you, and share the tracking details. If we are unable to repair the product, we will replace it within a reasonable timeframe. If a suitable replacement is not available, we will contact you to discuss the best options.

What if the product is faulty?+

We offer repair for your faulty products within 10 working days. In case we are unable to repair the product, we will replace your product within a reasonable timeframe.

What if repair and replacement are not possible within a reasonable timeframe?+

Generally, the returned product is only replaced with a similar/comparable replacement device subject to availability (if the device is not available within 15 days we will proceed to refund).

What is the warranty period in case of repair or replacement?+

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase, which is a standard practice among retailers.

What products/purchases do not qualify for a change of mind policy?+

Please note that our 30 days Change of Mind policy is only applicable to products that are Open Box, Like New, A-Grade and B-Grade. This policy does not apply to brand-new products and accessories.
